I'm LJ friends with a guy who lives in Wales, I believe. He's definitely Welsh, anyway. I don't "know" him very well whatsoever but anyway - it was a friend of a friend. He might be able to tell you guys the best bars/clubs to visit. Have you heard of fivelongdays?

I didn't make it to Wales or to Scotland when I was in the UK :( But a friend who visited me in London went to visit a friend in Wales and she loved it. I think it's worth seeing!
