It's amazing how sudden catastrophic disasters really show up how shitty nearly all out local journalism is when it comes to basic things like. Writing. Or not asking retarded questions like, "Are we going to rebuild the Cathedral?" when, 36 hours later, there are still up to twenty people missing inside it.

I want it to be next week.

Stupidity in journalism is universal, I'm afraid.

But never any less astounding, despite this fact.

Truth. That said, the international headlines/clips I am seeing are substantially better because no one gives a shit about stupid regional issues that local journos seem to think are important, such as rebuilding certain monuments.

Glad to see you're alive, at least! D: I was worried for a bit.

Also re: journalism: Fucking amen. I swear disasters bring out the shittiest of journalists.

Yeah I'm good. Different city and different island -- all we got was a tremor. I think everyone is a little emotional/mentally shattered/tired over it, myself included, but nada compared to the people actually in it. So bad.

And yeah, they do. Looking at them on TV you could swear they're 12-years-old, too. 'Why yes, you're wading through liquefied streets as you talk to camera off a script -- CUTTING EDGE.'
