In the past few hours, since it got dark, I've killed three lightning bugs and one green flying beetle thing. My windows are closed, the only way they could get in would be through the air conditioner (unless bugs have mastered the art of teleportation). Seriously. This is ridiculous. I don't need large flying insects sharing my living space. -
I did consider living in my shower, since I'm not responsible for the water bill...
Okay. Heat index of 99 degrees. Breaking into a sweat sitting still on my couch. *waves surrender flag*

I just replaced the lightbulbs in my bathroom "vanity." Two out of three had been burned out for the past couple of weeks (What? I lacked the energy to go shopping) giving the bathroom all the ambiance of a bus station bathroom right before the movie's protagonist gets jumped. I'm actually in my online class right now, but since my instructor turned off the textbox option (leaving only speaking aloud) and she's not doing anything but taking questions and discussion points and responding, I really don't feel the need to pay a whole lot of attention. So, the deal with all those e-mails. I spoke to a classmate of mine who opened and read them and basically what happened is that a person managed to hack into CITES (or something?) and got a few e-mail addresses. After that, it was basically everyone flipping out thinking their computers were in trouble and then hitting reply-all to tell everyone ( Read more... ) -

I don't know about anyone else, but I hate that when updates to my mac software come out, that I have to think, okay, if I install this, will it destroy my ability to use this computer? Will Gmail work in it? Will videos play correctly (or will it be worse than it is now)? Will it slow down my computer to the point where I start threatening it ( Read more... ) -

I've been getting these e-mails in my UIUC account from people who I don't know (for the most part - one came from a girl in my program) that say things like "Hey, I know your information" which is a bit creepy, but I deleted them because I didn't know the senders. Well, no, you can't win every year. And Pittsburgh did deserve to win. Much as that pains me to say.
Why did it have to be Pittsburgh though? So, so tired of the Sidney Crosby BS all the time, and now we'll just hear more. -

NBC just ran a preview for a "new" series. They're going to show Merlin. Which, weird. A reason to sorta maybe watch network tv.
