G25K-week 2 day 1

Just did week 2 day 1 today. I am still using the treadmill to do my jog. Though today I changed it up a bit ( Read more... )

Out of curiosity - when do you expect to try a run outside?

Now that you ask, I am going to give myself a date. I am going to plan for next week, for week 3.

The treadmill has been very convienent, becuase its easier to keep track of my time, as well as being able to go to the gym during lunch at work.

I don't have time to run before work, so will have to do it after work. Thought the gym does have a track, so if nothing else, maybe I can use that instead to be more like jogging outside.

I love having a TV or a book to read when I'm on a machine exercising. I'm lucky enough to have convinced my boyfriend to get up early with me to do this program, so I have someone to talk to -- which helps pass the time.

I've been very eager myself! It's a lot of fun to have a hobby like this, admittedly -- not to mention the support system!

Both:) As long as I stretch before/after and drink lots of water, my back/knees/ankles really have not bothered me, and its really surprised me, as that has been a major roadblock in the past.

Hi from another person who added you through g25k. I'm not blogging about it much on my livejournal - I'm recording video blogs after each run but so far I'm keeping them to myself. It's really helpful for me to get my thoughts out right away and I am not quite ready to let everyone see what I look like right after I run. :)
