Luciano Pavarotti, 71, one of the world's most famous tenors, has died from pancreatic cancer.

I know how you feel. We heard this morning on the radio that he was hospitalised, and then BAM, this afternoon he's gone.

A truely great loss. :(

Nev I'm kinda glad I read this here first. Obviously I grabbed the TV remote and switched to BBC News 24 straight after reading this entry, but I think if I'd have seen it there first... I dunno. Just thank you. This entry is so touching, and beautifully written may I add ♥ I feel alot of Italian in me too... Pavarotti is a huge presence there, and I like to think he will continue to be <3 He's a legend. He globalized opera. And was such a charimastic character through it all. You're not alone in being upset, this is a huge loss! I mean, wow...
