So. I'm not quite 'there' yet to order the Heinz', but I have to admit that Podolski was better in this game than I expected. Much better actually.
The beginning was rather intoxicating I hve to admit. Podolski scored two great goals in the 4th and 12th minute. Hands down, great job, especially Klose, who did both assists. Kudos. Now, why for Pete's sake though did the team then slow the game down significantly? I would have expected them to get carried away on a wave, no, a SURGE of adrenaline actually. Especially when in the 35th minute, one of the Swedish players got ejected from the game. Alas, no. Yeah, there were a LOT of shots on the Swedish goal, nevertheless though, the score remained as it was in the 12th minute. Not that it was a boring game, but the excitement from the 12th minute wore off sooner rather than later and the team's performance, although good, didn't really grab me by my hair and shake me as it did during the beginning of the game. *sigh*
I know, I know, I'm not easy to please...sorry? :)
