((((((((Narya))))))))) I've done the nearly unthinkable yesterday, and loved it. I've noticed some little details that make the movie even more charming. :)

I'm glad you liked it! :k

I think one of the things I liked best about Narnia is that it's *not* just "Disney does LOTR". Disney absolutely *learned* from LOTR (hey, they were smart enough to use Weta and New Zealand), but they did not try to copy it. Whereas LOTR was an "historical" film with fantasy elements, Narnia is a Fantasy flick.

The weapons, the tents, the costumes, everything is new and shiny. Not aged to perfection as in LOTR. But it fits, and it works. This *is*, after all, a kid's movies, and realism --- not so appropriate. But I'll tell you, when Peter drew his sword the first time, I just had to cheer for Richard.

I liked it far more than I thought I would. I was extremely pleasantly surprised.

But personally, I found grown-up Peter far hotter than kiddy Peter. Too bad he was in the movie for so short a time...
