So Duchess, my Shepherd / Rottweiler cross dog, didn't stop with throwing up her supper on Tuesday. She was throwing up off and on yesterday, so I gave her only 1/3 of her usual supper last night, and she threw that up as well. Then she threw up all night long - I stopped trying to clean it up, and just threw more paper towel over it. Luckily she ( Read more... )

The didn't do xrays right away because the vet couldn't feel a blockage. The blood tests will indicate if a blockage is likely, and they'll sedate her and xray if it looks like that's the problem. But because it could be so many other things as well (pancreas, kidneys, liver, infection), they're going to rule those out before sedating her for xrays.

It is hard - she looks at me with her sad sad eyes and wants me to make it better.

Yes, the year has not started spectacularly at my house. I'm hoping it's all just getting out of our system so that we can have a wonderful rest of the year.
