STUPA ja BABA-JAGA piloting a STUPA

"…in Buddhism, the STUPA has different meanings, but we do not need Buddhism, because this form, its architectural shape [the form of a stupa], is older than Buddhism, it dates back to the predecessors of the Buddhism, which were the Jianas, the religion of Jiana, and among the Jiana the STUPA had only one meaning: the STUPA was ‘A CHARIOT TO THE GODS’. They believed: when a priest wants to reach the world of the Gods, he had to make special washings, cleanings, he had to put special clothes on, and then he had to climb into the STUPA." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vgavSoLMHCo , by Erick Von Daniken, at 53rd min.

Being a Russian, this strucks me with an inevitable comparison to the Slavic and Finno-Ugric epos, where the wise Baba-Yaga flies in a thing called exactly the СТУПА [STUPA].
