The Wonderbunny got a Sansa Fuze mp3 player for Christmas. I loaded her up with songs, and they all show up and play just fine. Then I ripped a couple of books on CD into Windows Media Player and loaded them onto her Fuze. When I look at the device memory in Media Player, the audiobooks show up. When I look at the device in Windows Explorer ( ( Read more... )

Well, although I'm sure the iPod is a fine piece of electronics, it costs (like most Apple stuff) about 50% more for what it offers than comparable non-Apple players. I'm not willing to pay the extra for the designer label.

I appreciate your point though I think in the case of Apple it's not just a designer label but virtually hassle-free use.

Got it - I'll be looking into it. Indoor ranges here in the People's Republic of MN are somewhat scarce, but I'll find what I can!

Hello there... I've noticed that you have commented quite a few times on swampfaye's journal. You seem like a pretty interesting guy to know, so I've added you. Cheers!

Trolling your journal from the gun group where I saw you commented as being in Minnesota. A Minnesota resident myself, I thought I'd check out your journal. If that's not okay, lemme know and I'll go away.

On to the topic at hand. From your description it sounds like the exact same problem I had with my first iPod. I didn't realize that you needed to use a specific piece of software (in the iPod's case, iTunes) in order to put music on it. Did any software come with the Fuze by chance? Or perhaps try Media Monkey to get the audio files on it.

I do miss the days of the classic Sansas and Creative MP3 players where you just put music on them and go.
