Had a nice day today. Dropped by the bookstore with Ran and picked up the newest book in a series I really like. Perhaps I'll find some time this month to be able to read it. Also did a little grocery shopping as house has been abandoned for nearly a year now practically

Oh, I should? I think I would have found it rather entertaining to see how you would have explained the truth to her if you had not gone along with my deception. I do not think chibi-chan's neesan would have appreciated knowing that he was consorting on a regular basis with a criminal of my standing and then finding out that you are not planning on doing anything about it. She seems the type to express her displeasure in a very physical manner.

Not to mention, I suspect it gave you some peace to work on that case of yours without her bothering you while I had to listen to her chatter for several hours. I still think you owe me for that.

You just got home and you already too busy to read a book? You are about as bad as chibi-chan. You should just spend some evening with your book and ice cream. Make it a part of your welcome home present. It would probably be good for you.

Well, I was more concerned about her taking offense to your presence in this at all. She still holds that one time on the Queen Elizabeth against you, you know. I thought you would appreciate not being chased by the city's current reigning karate champion.

Well, I had to listen to her chatter quite a lot over this past year. She can talk your ear off on a phone, you know. Besides, i wouldn't have minded being interrupted for an emergency like that.

Well, I was gone for a while and the cases piled up...I need to work pretty hard to bring the load back down to normal. But I will take your suggestion in mind....perhaps Saturday night...

She would need to find me first and that is a rather difficult thing to do especially without chibi-chan to decipher my riddles for them. So, I do not think you need to be that concern about me. Not to mention, I think even if she did manage to find me, I have plenty of practice of not getting caught. Although, she should be honored that I diguised myself as her. I am rather discrimintating in my choices.

Yes, but you are her friend, you get to listen to her chatter. All I cared about was chibi-chan, certainly not the fifty little problems she seem to think I would want to know. However, in the future if you would do me the kindness of giving me some way of contacting you when you run off on your cases, I shall be more than glad to interrupt you so you may run interference with her while I check on chibi-chan.

Do not just take my suggestion in mind, do so. Your work load was there before you came back, I am sure it can be put aside for a day. I can point out the comments I made to chibi-chan about needing to relax if you feel it is

Well, be glad then I have no inclination to solve the riddles for them as well. You may have a lot of practice not getting caught, but dodging someone who can dent steel with her bare fists is no easy matter. I should know, she lashes out at me often enough anyways. Somehow I doubt she'll accept your point-of-view....especially when you left that note on her dress. She definitely wasn't pleased about that.

Well, that's what you get for disguising as me. Ran's determined. And I don't intend to "run off" on any other cases, at least for a while. That one was quite enough for me. But I'll take your suggestion in mind and give you my cell number, just for you.

But it piled up because I was gone. Everyone who has any sort of job knows they have to do make-up work if they miss a few days....and I missed quite a bit more than that. But tomorrow night....yes. Tomorrow night I'll relax.
