Would you really want that ideal shattered? Since he died young, we can only hold him in high regard and think "what if?"

As with Jim Morrison, Kurt Cobain, Eazy E, John Belushi, Andy Kauffman, Marilyn Monroe, Martin Luther King and a slew of others- because they died, they grew immortal. They didn't have a chance to grow up and shatter our once strong feelings of them.

Take a look at Bob Dylan- The one-time social pioneer has become an endorser of women's lingerie and has licensed his song to a corrupt healthcare group. (Kaiser Permanente)

Eddie Vedder- once thought to be the grunge equal of Kurt Cobain has alienated fans and put out some truly crappy music later in life.

Since my post is becoming longer than yours, I'll stop there. There are tons of people who should have been so lucky as to die young.
