Why would they put so much money on patrols, helicopters and what not to guard an ABANDONNED hospital??? That's beyond me, there could be more security that when the hospital was functional.

It's super expensive real estate owned by a developer now. This place is slated to be abated, and some of it is being restored.

Come back in 5 years, and you might find billionaires summering here.

I don't know what too much is but I'm use to seeing 1 guard at least and I think it's because the patient records are probably still in the building and contain some very private stuff. But you'd think they would just move it out of there. Who knows.

I've seen some places, where the state will maintain rooms full of records completely unrelated to the facility they are stored in. So for example you might be in a state hopsital facility and find fifty years worth of water records for a neighboring county.
