Talk show host Mike Douglas dies

We used to watch him every afternoon (once the soaps were done). When I was five I told my mother I wanted to marry him. Mom was kind enough to go into the bathroom before bursting into laughter.

I vaguely remember him. So sad.

(By the way, my mother likes to tell people that when I was but a wee lass I wanted to marry Richard Dawson.)

Oh wow...that made me think of that scene in The Nutty Professor where the grandmother starts talking about how Mike Douglas was the only white man who could ever make her "moist." HAHA
