For thirty days you avoid:

Sugar and artificial sweeteners
Grains
Alcohol (no cooking with it either)
Dairy (even butter)
Soy
Legumes other than green beans, snow peas and sugar snap peas
Carrageenan (thickener)
MSG
Sulfites

The supplements and gelatin I'm taking on my own. Whole30's been a thing for a few years now; it has a website and of course the creators have books out. It gets lumped in with paleo but it discourages making substitute foods with "approved" ingredients. I will say that this would be damn hard for someone who doesn't cook, though.
