People who suffer from depression actually do have a mental process going on in their brains that cause a difficulty remembering/recalling the "happier" moments in the past. Their neurotransmitter levels in their brain cause them to remember negative events more often, and have difficulty in recalling "happier" things that have recently occurred to them. So it's not just you, and many people have that difficulty.
