Church is where I go when I'm not sure why I am still doing this. Why is my wife killing herself going back to school? Because Jeff and I have decided that we are going to watch our kids while our wives are empowered to do Kingdom ministry ( ... )

But what if the scriptures are what I actually think?

The purpose of church is dynamic. It is founded on (at least) three assumptions. God talks. God works. God talks in the Bible, God works through Jesus. God talks and works in communities. The church is the community Jesus established to talk and work until Jesus comes back.

(Gen 12:1-3, John 1:1-18, Hebrews 1:1-4, Acts 1:8, Matthew 28:19-20)

there's something about the right moment that makes the difference.
i've read these scriptures you mentioned (against my request...thanks) numerous times before. i've skimmed over them while my mind filled in. i'd heard them too many times. the bible had become meaningless done, for me.
but when i read the john and hebrews verses...i don't know what it was, God maybe? hmm...i was captivated.
