Pineapple Express (2008) - :( :( :( :( :( - Normally I'm into Seth Rogen. His delightful "the world is out to get our generation so let's just party and not care" attitude he often takes in his roles is refreshing and often funny. This time, I couldn't watch it. I don't know if it was the addition of James Franco, who has yet to impress me, or if this movie was just bad, but I turned it off ten minutes in.

Adventureland (2009) - <3 <3 - So... basically... Kristen Stewart plays the same character in every single movie she's in, right? I know Celtling #1 will be outraged by this statement, but, watching this movie just proved it. She was the same awkward, misguided, band t-shirt-wearing, slightly likable misfit as she was in the Twilight Series, and The Cake Eaters, and In the Land of Women, and... yeah, you get the point. The rest of this film was all right. Jesse Eisenburg was slightly more enjoyable in this than he was in The Social Network, though I still think he needs to bring more of his Zombieland performance to his other roles. I suppose that movie really was one of a kind. Unlike this one.

The Last Legion (2007) - <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 - I do love a good Arthurian Legend movie. And this one was from an angle I've never personally seen before. The origin of Uthur Pendragon. And with Collin Firth, Rupert Friend, Ben Kingsley, and Thomas Brodie-Sangster, how could you go wrong, really? I highly recommend.

Nancy Drew (2007) - <3 <3 - Eh. I wanted this to be great, but it wasn't. It was slow, and confusing and not the Nancy Drew I grew up with. But it had it's moments. I do love Emma Roberts, and the idea of solving an old Hollywood mystery was nice. But otherwise, this fell flat for me.

Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind (1984) - <3 <3 - Eh. I broke my "no movies made before 1990" rule, and usually I'm a pretty big Studio Ghibli fan, but this movie, like the one I watched just before, fell flat. The storyline was confusing, the story was slow. The art, however, was beautiful. I especially loved the scenes in the petrified forest. But I wasn't impressed. I wanted to fall in love with this movie, but I couldn't.
