I hope you get to move! I loved North Florida too. It's my favorite of the places in Florida. The weather, the trees, GAINESVILLE. So good.
And you absolutely deserved better than that! I remembered most of that but didn't know about that last one. So not okay. It's funny how mothers will always defend their sons - even if they're treating their girlfriend/wife like complete crap. If my kid were treating their partner like that, I would never approve! But - that's probably why the sons were messed up to begin with. They were never taught how to treat people!
But the good news is that you're so much happier now, and it sounds like you have a much better in-law situation with Tim as well. It makes a huge difference!
I never really appreciated Gainesville for what it was until I had to leave it, and now it's hands down my favorite place I've ever lived. I can't wait to be back. I've even contemplated renting in Gainesville and making the 40 minute drive to work, ridiculous idea and I won't do it but I thought about it
