know that, to a certain extent, every christian is a hypocrite, myself included, but I have come to terrible disappointment perhaps because I still don't understand enough...will someone be so kind as to share their views on swearing? Um... Whats wrong with a religious person swearing. I know that there are some people that almost never swear, some that swear every other word, so I really dont think there is anything wrong with swearing once in a while. Dont have to be a 'potty mouth' though.

Well this is a situation where I must rattle off some bible verses. Well, I actually don't have many memorized but I know the concepts.

Some christianA was mad because christianB was doing something ChristianA thought was wrong. ChristianB had no problem with it, but a dood named Paul said that because ChristianA had a problem with it, ChristianB couldn't do it around ChristianA.

I think it's sort of stuck in a circle. Because a ton of christians think swearing is wrong, other christians shouldn't swear...at least not around them. It is discouraging to see someone you view as a role model do something you think is wrong.
