Steve is not a baseball player. Not in any remote semblance of the word.

Danny's always at the baseball field, but tell him that Steve's gonna be there too and there's no chance that he'll be anywhere else. With a mitt on his hand, he wanders over to the diamond with a bit of a swagger in his step, completely pleased as he looks Steve over with approval. "Hey, SEAL-boy," he shouts over. "What're you doing?"

Steve looks down the length of the field and squints, slinging the bat over his shoulder as he steps up to home plate. "What does it look like I'm doing?" he says, and sets his feet, easing into a roll of his shoulders as he swings at an imaginary ball. "Practicing."

"With who, a team of ghosts? You invoke the field of dreams, Steven? Cuz I gotta say, I'm not sure what they'll do to a guy who prefers football," Danny says, running his mouth at this point as he crouches over to grab a ball and holds it up in the air. "It helps," he says, "if someone pitches at you."

"And what, give the other team a first look at our secret weapon?" Steve asks, nodding towards Danny in case the answer of who that might be is lost on him. "Fine," he agrees, assuming a stance again, lifting his bat to hold it at the ready. "You gonna do it?"
