Open letter to Nigel Lythgoe and the production team at SYTYCD

Dear Mr. Lythgoe,

I'm writing to you about this week's Wednesday-night performance episode, and in particular, about the beautiful piece choreographed for Kent and Neil by Read more... )

Thanks or the support. :-) So far no news on whether anyone at SYTYCD has read it, but fingers are crossed.

Well said. Did you actually send this in to the show? If not I think you should. Them doing something as lame as the "friends" thing makes me glad I'm not watching cause that would have annoyed me the way they praise a crappy dancer after a while just because they've become so popular with the audience. Tell it like it is damn it! (Or I say tell it like it is.) Come on, or as Nigel need to say when looking in the mirror and thinking about this dance, "Man up."

I posted the link on Nigel's Twitter page, as well as Mia Michaels', Travis Wall's, and Adam Shankman's (all 3 judges & the choreographer). Got no response, though. They did perform the dance again at last night's finale -- it was Mia's pick for a favorite -- but they didn't address the issue. On the other hand, they didn't advertise it as a dance about "friends," either... they just didn't say anything about the storyline at all. So the opportunities remained missed. Booooooo.
