To me the entire series is more or less the same movie anyway. Mostly Harrison Ford is a pretty man and narrowly doges obstacles with a few lines from history books and bad guys always on his tail. The interdenominational aliens to me are no more off the wall than the hand of god coming down and bitch slapping Nazis or ancient stones stealing your soul. Both of those scenarios are equally ridiculous to the aliens. You can identify more with the Ark due to the fact that the myths surrounding it is much more wildly accepted as being real. Additionally the fact that the action in the new film itself is more so over the top is what you should expect from this series. An adventure movie is supposed to get bigger and better and more out there, otherwise people will become bored with it. They have the resources to make this completely impossible shit look like its happening, why the hell not ( ... )
