At some point since Sunday, it's occurred to Candice that maybe she should actually update relevant individuals on what's going on in her life (and there are so many things). Three is the magic number... of rings it takes before John answers the phone, voice still thick with sleep and rough from whatever he was drinking last. "'llo, who'sat?"

Yep, there's John, all right.

"Hey, you, it's Candice. Did I wake you up?"

"Only jus' before me alarm clock woulda, luv." This is a blatant lie, John hates alarm clocks. However, he immediately sounds happier, because hey it's Candice :D "How's things, then?"

"...thinglike?" She says, vaguely, and then laughs a little. "It's hard to say over the phone, I guess, but I haven't seen you in forever. Do you wanna meet up today?"
