Well, I don't know if this helps. But if you wern't who you are now - Mr. Nice Guy and very very very sweet - I probably wouldn't be friends with you, and I especially wouldn't want to be around you. I love you (as a great and amazing friend, someone who always listens to what I have to say no matter how stupid it is, and many many more things) for who you are NOW and please don't do anything to change that.

I agree with _laugh_out_loud (sorry, but I don't know your name). However, you're absolutely right that the bastards, liars, cheaters, thieves, and two-faced people seem to get ahead. But they get ahead in the short-run, not in the long run. And eventually people will realize just what they are and then the facade comes crumbling down. If they don't get caught, and they go on with success, they will know that they gained what they did by dishonesty and they will have trouble sleeping at night (also, the whole karma thing). By being nice, caring, loyal, and all the rest, even if you don't get ahead 100% of the time, you still have your integrity and that makes the difference. Besides, you tell it like it is enough of the time! Don't be any more mean (just kidding!) just because of the large number of bastards in the world. ::sings:: Doonn'tt chhaannggee.. LOL

people respond to nastiness and those who perpetuate it because they want to be liked. someone who is mean and expresses dislike towards you in an obvious way is likely to get attention because you want to be in their favor, you want them to like you and value you. it doesn't make sense but it's human nature i guess.

and karma's a bitch so all those mean people will get their's one day.

you dont know how many times i've thought the same thing....yet i've never been able to change who i am....we just have to come to terms with reality, be smart about things, and find the "in-between" part where u can rely on certain pple to not stab u in the back...its all a learning experience, ur a smart kid, u'll know who to trust and who to back away from :)
