OMGOMGOMG The "ever lonely heart" line is gold here :-). That Sandra had died with having left something unsaid hurt to read, and Sam's guilt...ouch. And then that slide into a comedy of errors feel, where we get to see what's coming and they don't...love that. I really like the pacing and tone here, too-it's really hitting the mark for me!

I ADORE that exchange at the end. LOL And Laura's confidence and Sam's obvious perceptiveness and intuition. ;)

That said, I'm sensing that the clues add up: Sandy's unexplained voice mail to Sam + her tragically aborted "perfect guy" for Laura with a younger guy as well. :D I smell a set up by a loving sister. Hee!
