This is the graduate certification in museum studies at Northern Illinois University.
I'm sure I will have more to say in a few weeks, once things have picked up.

I blame tech cert classes for this. Those classes teach to the test. I fear that it is bleeding over into other realms of academia.

I feel like it's just the dumbing down of everything that's driving me nuts. I expected more of my middle school students than some of the instructors I had during my undergrad did of these theoretically "adult" students. harrumph.
