April the 15th is coming! What makes this spring date so special? Well…

On April 15th, 1999, 19-year-old student Brad Fitzpatrick opened a new page in history - he registered the livejournal.com domain. And the most attentive will notice that almost 25 years have passed since then!

Fingers crossed that one of the big 25 announcements is that we'll be able to renew our US accounts again soon. Happy 25 LJ!

To be fair to LJ, they're complying with current law in their country, which is to not accept $ from outside Russia. They're doing the best they can in a difficult situation.

I have never doubted that, and know they can't control it. Just saying my hope for 25 is that there's some resolution for all of us (LJ and users) who have no control in this one.

I got a notification earlier this year that they added my credit card to my account. Maybe it's really solved now.
