For reasons we are still trying to figure out what was supposed to be a well planned attempt to clean up a few journals that were violating LiveJournal's policies that protect minors turned into a total mess. It's fine and dandy for them to want to do the Right Thing(c), but they seriously messed up by alienating their own community while doing it.
I apologize if I came off a bit snappy. I actually don't want to get into an argument with you.
I honestly think that teh_kimeye and other LJers with her opinions have a valid reason to be, well, pissed off and unwilling to forgive so quickly.

I understand that the media can (and often does) misquote people, but the serious lack of communication directly to LJ users until now has severely damaged my trust in your company.
I really would have liked to hear from a spokesperson sooner, even if it was just to say "We are aware of the problem and are dealing with it currently."
As a result, it will take quite a while for me to put my complete trust in LJ again, but hopefully I'll be able to at some point in the future.
