I honestly fit the archetype for the Boy Who Cried Wolf. While I am not a chronic or pathological liar, everything else fits. Building the suspense...and then the let-down. Congratulations on (hopefully) finalizing your college search! Charlottesville is a gorgeous town with some cool history stuff and I'm sure you'll love it despite the hicks and Southerners...
And yes you would sound funny with a Southern accent.

I think going to live in Virginia will be really tight. It's the south but... not really. I've always kind of wanted to go live in one of those states (like N./S. Carolina) but not actually live there, so college there would be the solution to that, and I'm jealous. I think I'll go take a tour of all of the Eastern schools people I know are going to, and UVA will be the highlight. UVA just sounds really cool and I think you'll like it!
