"St. Paul buses are ghetto and scary"

Some are (5, 21, sometimes 16), but mostly, just leave people alone and they won't mess with you. The reason that buses are "ghetto" is that generally, the people who ride them are the people who can't afford cars but still need to get to work (read: the poor folk). Why the poor folk are scary, I can't imagine, but I don't live in a somewhat upscale, predominantly white neighborhood (read: Highland Park).

St. Paul busses are quite nice compared to many of the busses and trains in Chicago, especially the green and red lines, and the south side busses. And Alec is right, that's mostly because of the people riding them can't afford cars. But then again, these people also come from high crime areas, and crimes happen a lot more on them then say a bus or train in Evanston.

As for corporate America, if we didn't have all these eager, "look at me! I'm part of a corporation!" people, things just wouldn't run as they do now. I say, whatever makes them happy, that's fine to me. If they feel they own the world from their little 5-by-5 gray cubicle, they'd see how horribly boring they and their little lives are, and the corporate world would grind to a halt, and we wouldn't be able to get anything anymore, America would stop working and things just wouldn't be the same. Plus, it makes you feel a bit better knowing that what ever you do, it'll be a lot less boring than their jobs.

Yay I ditto pretty much all of everything that both Alec and Kevin said, and they said it much better than I could have. But then again, I've already proclaimed both my love of riding the city bus and the appeal that corporate America has for me. I do, however, agree about Block E. It's sooo suburban.

Oh, but to add: 1) the suburbaness of Block E is both scary and cool, and 2) I completely respect your opinions and your right to express them. See you tomorrow!

"So I was sitting in my cubicle the other day and I realized... ever since I started working... every day has been... worse than the day before it. So that means, every day you see me- that's the worst day of my life ( ... )
