“well…I know this is a big favour to ask. But can you reject him?”
“huh?! Why?” yamapi shocked at koyama actually saying such a thing.
“Because I love him.”

Back in the privacy of his room, yamapi was deep in thoughts.
What if he accepted tegoshi? Tegoshi and he would be happy. They would be the best couple around. However he would ruin the relationship with his best buddy and as the leader of News, he also cannot allow such thing to happen. It seem that responsibility has now weighed heavily upon him.

The next day at Johnny jimusho when everyone came to try out the costumes for the upcoming concert.
“ne yamapi…you look like a panda.” Commented nishikido.
“maji de?” yamapi mumbled a reply.
“hontoni. Something bothering you? You just don’t look…you know…yourself.”
Just then tegoshi and koyama entered the room with the same sleepy look.
“eh?! Minna san had a party last night without inviting me?!” questioned massu who just returned from the toilet.
“err tegoshi? Let me buy you dinner after work?” yamapi hesitating.
“hai!” tegoshi felt hopeful.
Koyama cast yamapi a suspicious glance but quickly went to do his hair instead.
“ne yamapi..i want you to buy me dinner too! I’m already hungry!” massu pleaded.
“hahaha. You pig..i’ll treat you later. Anything you want.” Nishikido sensing something is different today with the members of news.

At the restaurant.
“ne tegoshi…” yamapi finally breaking the silence.
“hai?”
“well…what you asked me yesterday. Yeah..i thought about it. But I am sorry I have to reject you. You see that….” Before yamapi could finish…
“yamashita kun don’t need to explain. Well thanks for letting me know the truth.” Tegoshi gave a forceful smile and sped out of the restaurant.
“I hope what I am doing is right…” Yamapi sighed after tegoshi had left.
Tegoshi just kept running while tears rolled down his cheeks, he felt like back in the movie shissou. So what if it was one reject? But this was the rejection from yamashita kun. The senpai he announced numerous times was his favourite.
Just then a hand caught him. Tegoshi turned to look. It was his koyama. His big brotherly like member. Seeing him, he felt a sense of comfort and proceeded to hug him.
Koyama was shocked tegoshi would be so depressed. He felt guilty. But he knew he was the only one who could make him happy. While yamapi was always busy during the break when tegoshi called him out, koyama was the one who in the end provided company to the little kouhei. Yamapi had no time for tegoshi.
“don’t cry anymore wont you? I’ll still be there for you.”
At last…tegoshi stopped his crying fits like a little boy.
“come on teshi..i’ll bring you home.” Gestured koyama.
“how did keiichan find me?”
“well I knew something was going to happed. I was afraid it was going to be bad, so I just waited outside for you in case you might need me. Who knows you really did. Well those short legs of yours really run fast.”
“arigatou keiichan!” giving him a smile.
Tegoshi felt happy to have koyama around while he really needed a friend. He knew koyama knew him very well, he also knew koyama had probably knew of all these already but he hate to face the fact that yamashita kun had rejected him.

“okay here we are” walking up to the door step of tegoshi’s house.
“hai arigatou keiichan” tegoshi proceeding to look for his keys.
“joutoumade!”
“doshdano?”
“erm tegoshi I know this is a bad time for me to say this……but if yamapi had rejected you..well there’s still me. I love you too. Well… for sometime already.” Koyama smiled to himself.
Tegoshi’s brain was still trying to dissolve all the fact.
“ahhahh…I’ll meet you at the train station as usual tomorrow morning? It’s the photo shoot so don’t be late!” koyama said and left for home.

Well what was this all about. The person he liked, rejected him, while the person who was like a brother to him, told him he liked him. But keiichan always was able to make him felt comfortable. There were trillion times when he asked yamapi out for a meal but yamapi was either busy with work or studies. During such times, keiichan always spared time to go instead, when they had fun shopping and singing karaoke.
So now, why couldn’t he give it a try with keiichan? They would have lots of fun together, wont they?

Koyama walked towards the train station…then he spotted tegoshi. It was unusual for tegoshi to be earlier then him, sometimes he even had to go to his house to pull him out of bed.
“ohaiyo keii chan!!” obviously tegoshi had returned to his usual self or he was just trying to conceal his sorrows.
“ohaiyo! What pulled the teshi out of bed so early?” rubbing tegoshi’s head.
“hahaha…well let’s walk and talk.”
“ne keiichan..let’s go shopping after work? Today we’re ending during lunch time.”
“iio”
“yay! Keiichan tsugoii!” as tegoshi clung onto the arms of koyama as they entered the train.

At the photo shoot scene.
“yamapi? You have been out of your wits these few days. Is there something going on between you and koyama? You guys haven’t talked since yesterday morning. It’s unusual” nishikido always states what he sees.
“bezuni…”
“come on buddy spill the truth wont you? You know there’s nothing you can hide from me. Even the truth that you hate your hairdresser for giving you this hairstyle.”
“you really want to know the truth? You are so noisy today.”
“well I am warning you, tell me or I’ll go tell the hairdresser now!”
“okay okay I’ll tell you.” Yamapi finally gave up. Knowing nishikido for so long, there really was nothing he could hide from nishikido and there was also no way nishikido would give up so easily.
“yeah?”
“tegoshi confessed to me.”
“and then?”
“I rejected him…that’s all.”
“WHAT? That’s not all. You like him too…you two should be together, that’s all.”
“I rejected him…that’s the FACT.” Emphasizing again.
“well I know you love him too. I am warning you again, tell me the whole truth!” being the annoying nishikido.
“fine…I do. But…” yamapi halted as he heard tegoshi and koyama laughing while walking into the room with tegoshi clingling onto koyama’s arms.
He felt a pang at his heart.
“ohaiyo nishikido kun! Ohaiyo yamashita kun!” tegoshi said in his usual chirpy self.
“ohaiyo!” yamapi and nishikido said in unison.
“eh tegoyan.. still wearing the sunglasses from yamapi ne?”
“erm hai. I am going to get changed now.” Tegoshi said somewhat forcefully, remembering the incident last night.
What was that stupid ryo trying to do? Yamapi was slightly annoyed by him but was glad the fact that tegoshi still treasured the pair of sunglasses so much.
Nishikido was tired of yamapi not facing up to his feelings but at the same time wondered what could have caused him to give up tegoshi. What was even more absurd was that tegoshi had came to the jimusho clinging on to koyama. Therefore he decided to do a little investigation.
While yamapi was taking his personal shots…
“tegoyan, isn’t yamapi kakkouii in that outfit?”
“huh..hai ryotan. Kokkouii desu.” Tegoshi replied with his eyes fixed upon yamashita kun.
Beside them koyama listened intently to each word the two exchanged.
“teshi..where do you want to shop later?” trying to change the topic.
“eh tegoshi…I heard Johnny san wants you to do the love song together with yamapi again for the upcoming concert.” Totally ignoring koyama.
“so ka?” tegoshi obviously have not heard of it at all.
“teshi, adidas has a new spring collection…” koyama not giving up.
“tegoyan and yamapi just sang too well together!” commented nishikido.
“ahh hai…arigatou.”
“maybe that’s why you two are singing the part together for hoshi wo mezashite ne?” testing tegoshi’s reaction.
Koyama was angry. What was ryo doing? What does he know?
Nishikido on the other hand started to sense something’s got to do with koyama. This senior member normally wouldn’t try to change the topic so desperately. Was he trying to hide something?

After photo shoot.
“ne teshi..let’s go!” smiled koyama.
“ah hai! Jaa ne minna san!” waving his hand madly at everyone.
“jaa.” Each member muttered one after another.
Massu then dragged shigeaki to the Italian restaurant again for the third time of the week.
“yamapi…you can tell me now.” Ordered ryo.
“eh? Haha I’ve still got work to do. Got to go now.” Yamapi attempted to escape.
“did koyama do something to you to make you give up tegoyan?” testing yamapi’s reactions.
Yamapi stopped in his tracks. No, he cannot let any conflicts happen among news members.
“iie. Stop thinking so much ryo and aren’t you suppose to meet kanjani in ten minutes time?”
“eh?! It’s 1 already?!” as nishikido picked up his stuff and ran out of the room.
While nishikido was rushing to his next destination he recalled what just happened.
“I don’t need to be a woman to sense that yamapi was lying...” Ryo mumbled causing the taxi driver to cast him a weird glance.
Well it’s koyama then? I’ll just have to confront him.

Back on the streets the two were shopping.
Even though they were shopping like usual, koyama had felt that tegoshi was not like his usual self. Maybe he was still bothered about yamapi then?
“ne teshi, does this look good on me?”
“teshi?” koyama began to wave his arms fantically infront of teshi.
“eh keiichan..gomen! en..kakkouii! keichan looks nice with black.” spreading a warm smile across his face.
“arigatou.” Koyama patted him on his head.
Being together with the little one was enough for koyama. Of course he wanted more, but he will just have to take it a step at a time.
“ne teshi..let’s go on a date.”
“eh date?”
“tomorrow there’s no work. And it’s still the holidays for me, so why not date?”
Tegoshi felt unsure. He was just rejected by yamashita kun maybe he shouldn’t go so fast into another relationship. But why not? Going out with keiichan would be fun. He enjoyed keiichan’s company, but maybe he should just force himself to pay more attention to keiichan as he find his thoughts constantly drifting towards yamashita kun.
“I want to go the amusement park then.” Smiling at koyama.
“ah haha…hai. Then I’ll pick you up at eight?”
“hai!”
“I am going to the amusement park tomorrow!!!” announced tegoshi like a little boy.

Koyama finally reached home, full of thoughts about the next day.
“eh keii chan? Nishikido kun called you. You forgot to on your phone again. How can you still be so forgetful at this age?” nagged koyama’s mother.
“hai oka san!” running up to his room before his mother could bring up twenty years of history.
What did nishikido want? Well he wouldn’t know unless he called him…and proceeded to switching on his phone.
“….beep…mushimushi?” came the familiar voice.
“nishikido kun? Doshdano?”
“where were you? I called you at 2 and guess what? It’s already 9 O’CLOCK.” Trying to tease the other member.
“gomenasai!”
“well..just want to ask if you know something is happening between tegoyan and yamapi eh?”
So he did know a thing or two about this?
“I think tegoshi confessed to yamapi.”
“so ka? then?” nishikido was trying to find out more.
“from the looks of it isn’t it obvious yamapi rejected teshi?” stated koyama.
“oh by the way you two aren’t talking nowadays huh?”
“me and yamapi? Oh we just lost some common topics now that it’s the holidays.”
“so ka? well I am just really concerned about the harmony among news. Now that we have just returned, I really want everything to go really well.” Nishikido speaking his true heart out.
“okay got to rest now, tomorrow there’s still kanjani. Jaa ne!”
“jaa.”
“…click…” as nishikido hung up the phone.
Koyama is concerned about news too, definitely not any lesser than nishikido. However, at that moment, teshi’s happiness was something that weighed heavier upon him than anything else. So long teshi is happy, he will be happy.

Crappies : a short chapter…the problem is that I don’t even know when is their holidays or whether yamapi and koyama are still schooling since I don’t live in japan and know only the bare minimum. But bear the minor details…sorry if I got anything wrong. Do correct me! (: comments are loved!
