For some unknown reason, my computer no longer understands it has a D drive. What the hell? I got our wedding pictures cd today and dammit, I wanna see them!!

Did you try rebooting?

Yup. It seems ok now, and I believe part of the problem may well have been that the cd our photographer gave us with all our pictures on it was blank. I went to three different stores trying to print some off and none of them could read it.
