Officially handed over the ten galleons I owed Ella in losing the bet regarding whether Croyle could get off the ground in try-outs or not today ( Read more... )

I'm quite surprised that Crabbe and Goyle didn't manage to kill someone during tryouts, to be honest.

Though now that we've seen Gryffindor's tryouts, I think I shall be grateful. Weasley's even worse. I have to admit that I can't understand why Angelina Johnson didn't choose Geoffrey Hooper instead. The fellow may whinge like a hag with a toothache, but he's not likely to kill one of his own teammates through gross incompetence.

That being said, think you can help me in getting Malfoy to shut up about it? The crowing's getting really loud and obnoxious. Shouldn't he be revising or something anyway? How much can one truly gloat, anyway?

Personally, I think it's only a matter of time. At least if they kill off our Seeker, we've got another one waiting in the wings.

I doubt a detention will aid the cause, but I'm sure if we set him upon nattering about Potter and whatever misfortune the boy has encountered of late, he may be gleeful enough in that to shut up about Weasley.

I've got no idea, but evidently he was never taught decorum or respectable manners. Can't say it improves my opinion of him.

Had I any other alternatives, I would have picked someone OTHER than the two. Oy.

You know, I can't say that I'm altogether fond of many Gryffs, but being so classless just lowers Malfoy to the level of the same level as the most aggravating members of that house confirms the image of this house as a group of ill-bred tossers.

Well... in the very least, it's bound to be an interesting season. Here's to hoping that I can find a decent captain next year too. Someone who ISN'T Malfoy.

It's quite alright. We have yet to decide if they are likely to be an improvement on our last Beaters. Those two really forced me to learn how to dodge a Bludger.

No, that it doesn't. Meanwhile, I will admit that it was extremely amusing witnessing the youngest Weasley miss those Quaffles so consistently. Malfoy's chorus of 'Gryffindor are losers' was far too much, however.

Urquhart, on the Reserve team, is scrubbing up well.

It's incredibly sad you don't have anything better to do, Pucey, though not exactly surprising. SPYING in an unattractive habit no matter what your justification may be. AND I don't know where you lot think you have the right to stand around and jeer at people when they're having a rough practice. It's disgusting.

Admittedly he's is completely hopeless but, if you hadn't stood around watching him I'm sure Ron would have been much less nervous! It was his first practice for Merlin's sake! AND IF HE HADN'T BEEN NERVOUS I WOULDN'T HAVE BEEN HIT IN THE FACE, FRED WOULDN'T HAVE BEEN A COMPLETE AND TOTAL BERK AND GIVEN ME THAT STUPID BLOOD BLISTERPOD AND I WOULDN'T HAVE SPENT ALL THAT TIME IN THE HOSPITAL WING! IT'S. ALL. YOUR. FAULT. How would you have liked it if someone had done that to you?!

Well, for one, I would be alot more capable under pressure than he has proved himself. And for your information, I was amused, yes, as you would have been in my position, but I did not jeer.

This may be his first practice, but if he can't learn to ignore a taste of Malfoy catcalling him, then I'm afraid he's got a long way to go before he'll be ready for a match.

And by the way, half the point of Quidditch is that there are spectators in the sport.

Oh, I beg to differ, there was definite jeering from the lot of you. And not just about Ron either but about my stupid nosebleed which was NOT A LAUGHING MATTER AS FRED COULD HAVE KILLED ME WITH HIS IDIOTIC LITTLE INVENTION. I suppose you didn't join in with that lovely little chant either, hmm?

HE WAS JUST NERVOUS. He'll be fine fucked, we are so FUCKED!!!!!!

Oh, thank you for clarifying that. Because I've never seen or played in a Quidditch Match before.

You clearly choose to not believe me, but I did NOT jeer. Housemates of mine did so, yes, but I did not. Nor did I join in Malfoy's stupid chant either, it was utterly classless anyway.

It doesn't have much bearing on me. It's YOUR team that has to deal with the negative consequences of his nerves, not mine.

Look. I'm sorry you got hit in the face and had a nosebleed, but it wasn't my fault, and I ask you to stop irrationally taking it out on me.

I'm still not sure I can tell which of those two is which.

I'm pretty sure if you mix their names up, they'll respond all the same. I just don't say their names to their faces at all if they aren't standing within reasonable vicinity to each other to merely say 'Crabbe and Goyle'.

Can't we just make them wear name badges or something?

I cling to the hope they have enough brains to determine that would actually be offensive to them.

But as you can see, I'm not an expert on Croyle. But really, doesn't it seem completely illogical their broomsticks don't break?
