I'm a GIRL! And... and... oh gosh, this is so awkward. What must you think?!
I'm... umm, doing as well as can be expected, I guess. It's really odd being a girl. I'm afraid it's not going to make me any better at talking to girls. I'm suddenly noticing stuff like hangnails and things that Andrea says are called 'cuticles'. And boys were whistling at me before Barney put a stop to that. It's not very pleasant to be whistled at. Do you get that a lot? I mean, as a pretty girl.

I can't say I fuss an awful lot over my nails, being a Quidditch player and taking both Potions and Herbology, which are very hands-on classes. I do have a favourite polish colour though.
I never thought I would be discussing this sort of thing with you.
Well, as I'm not the sort of pretty that most boys like, I cannot say I get whistled at a lot. I did get a few looks on the beach in France over the summer, but my brother put a stop to that.
Angelina is a male as well as Leanne. I'm rather relieved in some ways she can't sleep up here tonight. Does that make me a horrible friend? Or person?

Neither do I. In fact, I don't think I've ever really noticed my nails until now unless they got a bit long, and then I'd just clip them. It's really weird to notice them at all.
But... you're very pretty, and I'm sure many boys think so. I'm glad that you don't get whistled at, though, because that's rude and discomfitting. I never understood why some boys did that. And particularly now I don't think I'd ever think of doing such a thing myself.
No, I mean, I'm switching beds with Saorla. I trust Barney and Nick and Nigel completely, don't get me wrong, but it'd just be... really really weird to change in front of them or something, and for that matter I don't think any of them would want to share a dorm with me when I'm a girl either. I don't think your friends would mind you thinking that way.

Perhaps they think it's flattering, but I find I feel too much like I'm being put on display. I'm sorry you had to go through it.
That's a nice way of looking at it. And thank you. I'm glad you don't think I'm horrible for feeling that way.
