The game's over and done with. Those still pissed off at Malfoy? Take it up with him. Leave me the hell alone.

I think my housemates are bright enough to remember that the blonde, whiney ferret-faced one is not in fact you.

Is there anything I can do? I infer you're not your usual cheery self (excuse the irony).

No. Thank you for offering, however. What 'cheery' self?

Malfoy was just working the system. If I was one of the Gryffs I'd be more annoyed with Umbridge than him.

But really, it's only Quidditch.

Yes he was. It would be more reasonable to be mad at Umbridge, but there's bound to be an Educational Decree against that sooner or later.

"Only" Quidditch is a big deal to some.

Yeah, the Bleach Ferret is a git but you'd expect him to and pull off a stunt like that. Yet some people react the same anyway. Gryffindors can be rather predictable considering how you usually think of dropping everything and rushing off into danger as being something capricious and spur-of-the-moment, yeah? I wonder if I can work that into my song somehow. Or at least the concept of it.

That's ridiculous. You can't control people's emotions. Well, you and they can control whether they act on them or express them or not, but emotions are like air. They just exist and there's not a lot we can do about them. I wouldn't put it past her to try though.

Yes. It wasn't fair of Umbridge to do what she did, but it was also fairly stupid to rise to the bait.

Emotions are like air? You're a bit odd.

It would take some fairly illegal spellwork or potions to make the attempt to control others' emotions to the extent that she'd probably like. That being said, I don't see that she'd have the scruples against that sort of thing had the opportunity come up.

OUCH, mate. I know that asking how you are is a bit of a redundant queston, but you know some of us are here for you if you need a non-hostile ear, right?

Yes. Thank you.

Oh, by the way, I know we don't have another game til we play Ravenclaw in a few months from now, but-- that stunt Bletchley pulled? If there's a repeat of that, I'm not altogether sure that it would be acceptable for him to get away with it. But in case that were to happen again, I'd need a reserve Keeper to have plenty of practice working with the team. I know sometimes it's difficult to do a scrimmage game of regulars vs reserves when I don't have reserve Beaters, but Vaisey and Urquhart are decent, and I think it'd be mutually beneficial if all of you went to practices with us as often as possible, because from the way things are, I doubt that the animosity between us and Gryffindor's going to stop any time now, and I'd like to have some back-up in case of any mishaps.

Telling people to leave you alone seldom works, unfortunately. When will you ever learn?
