Dragons need love too!

Jun 13, 2011 22:06

Perhaps all the dragons in our lives are princesses who are only waiting to see us act, just once, with beauty and courage. Perhaps everything that frightens us is, in its deepest essence, something helpless that wants our love.

not to go all freudian or spoil the mood, but sometimes a carnivorous, bloodthirsty, fire-breathing dragon is just a carnivorous, bloodthirsty, fire-breathing dragon.

just because it wants your love, doesn't mean it doesn't also think you would be delicious after searing.

So...you're saying that the dragon is actually a penis, and that I should mince and saute it out of self-preservation since it would harm me deliberately no matter how much love it professes to have?

surprisingly no, that was not the implication I was attempting to make.

I'm just a pessimist, so if I see something that appears to have it in for me, I to assume the worst. I only mentioned freud because I was paraphrasing the 'sometimes a cigar is just a cigar' (which I would not be surprised to find is a phrase he never uttered).

"that looks like a hungry dragon. perhaps it is not, but I think I shall assume it is hungry unless it proves otherwise."

I know what you were trying to say, sweetie--I just think twisting things to their illogical conclusions is way more fun than talking about cigars. ^_~
