Finally I am updating with pics of my apartment. I know you all have been anxiously awaiting them! I just got my futon and dining table in today, therefore I took pictures to post onto LJ. Aren't you excited? Don't worry, they are hidden behind cuts. I warn you now, there are a lot of pictures!

i found you on the saucy community but i can't comment there since i'm not a member. anyway, the livingroom is pretty awesome. i really like that pink wall with the red of your futon and place mats! i think it's pretty awesome that you take pictures of other people's weddings and regular passer-bys. hahaha mind if i add you?

Love it! And I love all the little touches- the Ganesha, the knicknacks along the windowsill- it's all beautiful!

I have to ask tho- where did you get the nifty mail/letter holder underneath your key hook?

India...which is also where I got the place mats which gave me the color scheme of the living room.

I really like that shot of HOT PINK! I do think you need some more accents in the living room to pull it all together, though. Floor pillows, an area rug with red and pink and maybe some greens and blues, some pictures on the wall, a valance or scarf above/around the windows. Otherwise, it just looks like a former tenant painted the wall pink and you haven't had a chance to change it, since it doesn't coordinate with any of your stuff. I like red and pink together, but you have to be careful and not overdo it, which is why I think mixing in some other colors would be swank. Almost go for some Mexican-flavor colors ( ... )

well, it is a fine view.

i'm not so sure about that wall in the living room; it's some sort of pink, right? i'm very color blind, so it's entirely possible that it looks lovely in person.

the living room -- especially that side with the bookshelf -- is awfully cluttered. i would find a way to reduce that and put up something on the bare wall on the left. consider taking down the white metal blinds and putting up some wooden ones; it would complement the wood that's already in there. and browns do go together well with some pinks.
