❦ Further Information:

Personality: When Elisa met Goliath for the first time, she told him that a good detective “trusts no one”. Although she believed that once, Elisa no longer works alone and has enough confidence in the relationships she’s built to rely on them when she needs to. Her trust is difficult to earn, but she is fiercely loyal when it has been earned. (Similarly, it is almost impossible to win back her trust if you’ve done anything to lose it. This can be seen in her relationship with Xanatos. The gargoyles are far more willing to accept his change of heart than she is.)

In keeping with her distrusting nature, Elisa isn’t very good at admitting her feelings. (It’s rare to see her breakdown, but it doesn’t mean she doesn’t feel things as keenly as anyone else.) This is a natural defence mechanism and is particularly evident when it comes to her relationship with Goliath. Because she thinks it’s impossible for them to be together, she is in deep denial about how she feels about him.

Elisa is also resilient, with a dry sense of humour and an inability to give up. She isn’t the sort of person to surrender when things go wrong. She fights back by searching for new options and carrying on. She trusts her instincts as well as her intelligence and, during her years on the force, she has learned to think on her feet. Because she is a good detective, Elisa is down to earth, believing in the evidence of what she sees and working hard to put together the pieces of whatever puzzling cases she comes across. However, her friendship with the gargoyles has forced her to accept that there are more things in heaven and earth than she ever realised before. She is no longer as much of a skeptic as she once was.

Although Elisa tries to keep her fears in check, the idea of seeing harm come to the people she cares about - including the clan, who are as much a part of her family as her parents and siblings - is the thing that frightens her the most. She has a highly protective streak, which has deepened since she met the gargoyles. In their quest to protect the people of Manhattan, Goliath and the others frequently put themselves in danger. Her brother has also been tricked, manipulated and eventually mutated by the devious businessman Xanatos. Although Derek survived the process, he was undoubtedly changed by it. She won’t - can’t - let something like that happen again. To anyone she loves.

Canon History: The Gargoyles Wiki

AU History: Elisa is a street smart detective from Manhattan, a bustling metropolis in Evangeline. Before she met the gargoyles, she had a flawless record and an impressive reputation in the 23rd Precinct. After she met the clan, however, she began to get into trouble a little more often. These troubles culminated in her disappearance. Along with Goliath, the leader of the clan, and Bronx, the loyal gargoyle beast, Elisa found herself on the magical isle of Avalon, an island without a known location. (According to some legends - which should be taken with a pinch of salt - it might even be beyond the edge of the world or in a different universe entirely.) From there, Elisa and her companions - including Goliath’s daughter, Angela, who joined them when they left Avalon - began to travel far and wide. Instead of sending them back to Manhattan, the magic of the island sent them to where they needed to be. It was shortly after a visit to Arizona that Elisa received the offer of employment at the Disney Academy. She was reluctant to accept it at first - she didn’t want to abandon her responsibilities in Manhattan or, for that matter, leave Goliath and her other friends behind - but, in the end, Avalon made the decision for her. Whether she liked it or not, Elisa was needed at the Disney Academy.

Kissing and Hugging? It really depends on how well she knows you. She regularly hugs her friends, but she's also rather wary when it comes to strangers. Give it a try and we'll see?
Injuries? Sure! But we should work out the details.
Killing? Err ... no, I don't think so!
Mind Reading, Memory Wiping and Miscellaneous Magic? My answer will almost certainly be 'yes', but it would be nice if you checked first so we could work out the details.
