I think it's cool you shared this part of your life. My dad moved us to Texas to work as an event coordinator for an evangelist based in the area. I was 13 at the time and through my teenage years (and still) had major self-esteem issues. This led me to hanging out with the wrong crowd... which led me to attend lots of parking lot/pasture drinking parties. I remember once one of my dad's friends told him they saw me drinking beer with my friends. I reacted with anger, but really I felt bad that I had embarrassed him. I was supposed to be a good kid. Funny thing though... that is just one memory I have of being a big disappointment. Sounds like you have a much better head on your shoulders though and have good, solid outlook on things now.
Sorry I'm so late in replying I've been out of the loop. I'm sorry you had a tough time walking that tightrope when you were a kid. But I am so glad you are the way you are, and I think you're an awesome person.
