Sorry for the ridiculous lack of updates, honestly anything I'd post would be therapy-related. XD tl;dr - Understanding/uncovering more about BPD + super intense major depressive episode that's been going on for a few months now = super funtiems. Almost put myself in the hospital uhhh two weeks ago, but I changed my mind when Dr Grey said that we'd ( Read more... )

Four, I'm assuming. Unless I have to take another requirement that I don't think would be too difficult/time-consuming?

Yeah, Myth and Symbol is one of the ones that's at the top of the list. That and the translation one, which isn't necessarily my goal career-wise (library school!!) but is still something I'd definitely wanna do on the side. And I knowwwwwww about the two death classes but they're just so interesting and I'm really very genuinely interested, it just so happens that I'm interested for personal reasons that wouldn't be so conducive to classroom environments. XD I have no idea if they have a shop-system like Bryn Mawr did (like "trying out" the courses before you settle your schedule) but I'll find out on Friday!

Yes! When is it? Are you going too? :D

I know, I would probably opt for the death classes too....because I am a morbid little shit and for reason I am deeply intrigued by rituals regarding Death and the like....but yeah definitely ask if you can attend on a trial basis or get in contact with a professor and try to get an idea of what the class will actually entail!

I am so excited for you!!!! XD I hope that you have a great semester!

Yes, I am definitely planning on getting to Relle and the Renn Faire sometime in the near future. I am not sure when I am going to go however, I have to coordinate with Relle, and maybe Rachel, and look at my schedule some more (like its so filled at the moment -_-'). When would you be available. Relle suggested some weekend, maybe getting there on a Friday (the Faire starts on August 27 and runs well into the autumn....October 22 or 23rd so there is some flexibility there).

Love!!!!

That makes a lot of sense. Honestly I haven't seen that many Shakespeare films (I only just watched Gibson's Hamlet, that was FUN :P), so I didn't realize the huge hole in their selections. And if I want to spend the whole time talking about the interpretation of the texts, but the prof/class focuses on the more technical aspects of the film... yeah, I'd find that pretty boring and tedious. (I do enjoy hearing you, DJ, my other friends who've taken film classes etc talk about the technical aspects of film, but my interest is not nearly enough to warrant taking a whole class on it. XD)

I've tried a few times to read The Once and Future King but can't seem to really get into it. Would you have any recommendations? For introduction/pleasure reading. :) And yeah, I'm excited for the Language and Race class! I hope I get to take it. (I forget what other requirements there are, I hope they also have cool options like this one...)

I knowwww but I'm notorious for making terrible decisions along those lines. :P

<3 thanks!

I would do:

Language and Race (seriously, this is a great way to fill that requirement)
the intro English course
A non-death-related course that satisfies your nerdy interests so that your core English course doesn't drive you crazy
German
