When did you learn to love the epilogue and nextgen characters? Have you always appreciated it or did it slowly grow on you?

I've always found the epilogue to be kinda cool. Some thing might be a bit cliche like Harry name his son Albus Severus but that's okay with me. I loved knowing what happened to some of the characters. That being said, it took me a while before I started reading nextgen fanfics. At first, I enjoyed nextgen characters but only as long as the main characters were those we grew to love already. For example, I loved seeing Albus Severus in a Harry/Draco story.
