Well, after a lot of incompetence on the part of the listing agent and her inability to get the utilities turned on in a timely manner, we FINALLY got to go do our house inspection today
( Read more... )
I was wondering how you were getting on re. house. I'm glad to know the home inspection went OK.
Keeping my fingers crossed that it continues to go well for you.
edit. I've looked at the slideshow now. It really is vast, isn't it ? Room for half a dozen more cats at least, especially if they're allowed outside. And what are you going to do about curtains/blinds for those ginormous windows in the family room at the back ? You might find a marquee going cheap somewhere :)
Still, when you've got it all fixed up, I'll be happy to come and test out a guest bedroom :)
Ya, it's a pretty large house, but to be able to have enough room in the basement for the studio, it had to be.
Jon's put a moratorium on more cats for the moment, although, I may be able to get *one* more because Loki needs an active friend to play with. The other three are just too lazy for him! As soon as we're able to afford a fence, though, we're going to get a dog. (hopefully!)
Fortunately, we probably won't need blinds for the back windows. It's very private and you can't really see in, but if we do, I think we'll probably get remote control blinds at least for the top level. Curtains on those windows would just be gilding the lily, if you ask me :)
And you're MORE than welcome to come test out a guest room or two! We'd love to have you come back!
Thanks! Believe it or not, our paperwork is generally already finished...we just have to do our termite inspection and get the documents for the Homeowners Association. After that, it's just transferring the money over to our checking so we can do our downpayment, etc. (OY, that's the scary part!)
