Joseph rubs the side of his nose with his thumb, expression surprised and, while not exactly welcoming, pleasant. "Can I help you?"

"Uh, yes, I'm sorry-" She bends over and retrieves it, then stands up as she fumbles with putting it back in the purse slung over her shoulder. "I'm looking for- a consultation, basically. About my hand." She holds up her bandaged one. "Ah, the nerves are damaged." Hopefully he'll be able to tell her what to do. Vaguely, she feels ridiculous.

The man tugs a large handkerchief from his pocket, using it to rub (uselessly) at the stains on his fingers. His head jerks to the side indicating her to follow him down the hall to his shared office area while he talks. "I'm not at all traditional in my medical knowledge, you should know that right off but if I'm not what you're looking for I'm sure we can find you someone more appropriate."
One ink-stained finger flickers towards the seats. "Can I offer you some jam? One of my partners makes it, superb stuff."

"No, thank you, I'm all right," she says, in response to his offer of jam, and takes a seat expectantly.
