Oh goodness.  There's a young man(?) unconscious on the floor of the Clinics Lobby, having appeared there by PIN.  The Thing is curled on its side, a massive swelling distorting its temple, blisters risen in a smear across its face, but no discoloration of skin, no redness at all ( Read more... )

Jane is no doctor. She just likes harrassing the nurses.

This won't stop her from pausing near the Thing and setting a Hershey's bar next to its head before moving on, however.

And this is discovered pretty quickly when Eight shuffles in looking for one of his other selves. Certainly seems to be Head Wound Day in the Nexus, doesn't it?

"Oh, dear, what happened to you?" He kneels on the floor to take a look at the Thing, gently reaching out to touch its shoulder.

Meanwhile, another Doctor trots in from within the Clinics, where he'd been raiding the place for more components for the virus cure. "Here, now, this is no place to be lying about and looking like patients." Just their luck it had to be the one with the scarf.

The Thing is unconscious, Docs. It's a good time to lie about and look like a patient. Someone obviously cared just enough to get it here, not enough to stay and see that it got care.

Oh, it's a good time, as good a time as any. Just not a good place. The floor, that is. You really have to pay attention to words when you listen to Four.

He shoos Eight to a chair, and then picks up the Thing to place it on a gurney. Now. He'll figure out just what the damage is to this poor thing before he goes and makes sure his later self isn't concussed.

Well, it seems to be a concussion. It might be hard to tell, as the Thing has no pupils to dilate, or even any eyes, nor does it have a massive bruise. The bone under the massive swelling moves slightly, though, a soft spot where none should be.
