Saddler waits for word from his second in command. He could have observed the situation through Chief Mendez's eyes, but he was well without the sphere of the plaga's communication. The sound of loud, clomping footsteps can soon be heard heading towards the Oval Office, which Saddler had, natch, taken up as his own. And soon, the door opens to admit one very tall, bearded man.

Mendez stoops into a bow before giving his brief report of what he saw transpire when going back to check on the Raccoon City they attacked.

"...The American agent has arrived there. They have more weapons made to target Las Plagas, it would seem. And they also appear to have removed all traces of the others that were becoming infected." There's a short, distasteful grunt at that fact. "There is no point in returning now, my lord."

Saddler keeps looking out the window, drumming his fingers on his ever-present staff. "I knew he would come running. Always the hero, that Mr. Kennedy. At least in one dimension..."

He finally turns to face Mendez. "New weapons? Elaborate."

"Lasers, my lord. Designed to emit the same radiation Luis Sera was researching, I'd wager. They were made into firearms and they had several. It was what they were using to undo the infections. Although I cannot confirm this for sure, my lord. I merely observed from a safe distance. I assumed it better for them to not be aware of my presence."

He smirks. "Hmmm. Clever, what little toys they come up with. You say they only have several? . . . Only a mere inconvenience at that number."

He sits in the leather chair that formerly seated the leader of the free world. "Any word of my...wayward son? Still fraternizing with the enemy, I assume?"
