Thoughts on Episode 4: Ghost on the Highway
BTW I'm eating, so I might have less to say.
Looking at the title I assume it's the case from the pilot?
OK, maybe not since it's opening with a woman. Um it looks like Metallicar is ramming her? Possessed Metallicar? Is this Route 666? A new story?
Ewww what is Sam eating? He's not supposed to eat gross food. LOL Dean. That's right, throw it out the window. Protect your brother from gross food the car from crumbs. And WTF is wrong with Dean's hair? *cries*
A note here to appreciate how Jared does sound like s2!Sam. His voice is lower, but still, it's how he talks.
Dean, don't sit on the floor. Do you know how filthy that floor probably is?
The chief's brother's voice sounds kind of familliar...
HOW did Dean smuggle that into the jail?
Um. Wait. Cross dresser? Oh yeah, I'm watching an anime! LOL his name is Michael. This is funny. A gay cross dresser would not be on the real show :( Not treated so respectfully anyway. I mean, yeah, this guy is treated as a little bit of a joke, but he's also a good person. I don't think the show would even have a character like this in such a big role.
Oh I just realized he reminds me of Spike Spencer, but it's not. It's just the kind of role he plays and that voice type.
So this is a completely original story, and so far it is playing much much better. And Sam has Spike Spiegal hair again. Dean is so ugly *cries* It's not Dean's face, it's not Dean's voice, it might as well be their ugly fourth brother.
They should have made the diner a Biggersons.
Um, I find this story hard to believe. OK, suspend. It's an anime. Whole towns that aren't in the middle of nowhere can be conspiratorial.
Nice way to work in the mythology.
LOL@Metallicar conversation. It wouldn't work on the show, but it's amusing me here. Except Dean insulting Sam by saying he'd be Michael is low, especially since Michael is SITTING RIGHT THERE. He takes it fantastically, though. <3 Michael <3 I hope he doesn't die :(

I can't help it, I really like this show. I like it like I like some animes. I just have to separate it from the live action show I adore.

I think the theme of this episode is Brothers.

How handy that their gas springs a leak right when they need it to. Ah, anime.

Um, is the salt and burn going to work since the car was rammed off the side of the road? Um?
OK, this is how this anime should be done. Original stories designed to be 22 minutes long. Yeah, it's not the greatest story ever, but it didn't feel chopped like the other episodes did. And it did things the live action show couldn't/wouldn't do. Like have a transgendered main guest character. I'm thinking I will like the original stories more than the ones adapted from the show.
