Making a wallpaper & Desktop screen shots
This is a screen shot post. No new wallpapers is to be found here.. But please have a look anyway^^
(It's not Dial-up Friendly. Many pictures under the cut!~)
I thought that maybe it would be fun for you to know a bit how I work when I make wallpapers. I've taken some screen shots for you to see (if you're interested).
I make almost all my wallpapers in Photoshop CS (some in CS2).
Getting rid of annoying text in magazine scans
Don't you just hate it when there's a lot of text in a scan that has that perfect picture? So do I.

This was just before and after pics because when I did it I didn't plan on making this post so..
To get rid of annoying text I use the Healing brush tool (J), The clone stamp tool (S) and the brush (B). ^^
final result of that scan:

Making a wallpaper
Ok, Maybe I should have taken even more screen shots because when I look at this, it's not that satisfying(if I am to explain how I exactly made this wallpaper). But I'm to tired now to make a new wallpaper and.. I want to post this tonight. xD
So first I chose a picture and I create a new blank file and give it it's proportions. I transfer the chosen pic to the new one and I shrink it to fit the picture. (We do want all the members in KAT-TUN to be visible in a group wallpapers).
But we got a blue border in the top when we shrunk the scan so I'm going to erase that one.
Working on it~ (using healing and stamp tool (J & S)
And when that's done it's time to decided what to do with the picture. this time I wanted to go a little bit crazy so I started to mixture with the Curves (command+M).
Though.. I don't want their faces to be affected by the curve (cause that wouldn't look good).
So I start to paint over parts in the layer mask that I don't want to be affected by the curve. (see the little white box to the right where I've painted KAT-TUN in black)
When I'm done erasing the curve from all the faces (and bodies) I added a bit of contrast to the picture.
And that's it! (Ok I added my little logo in the corner as well but.. =P)
I haven't posted this wallpaper yet.~ I'll post in in a couple of days when I've got some more to show you as well. (It'll be a KAT-TUN in NY post!)
I hope you got a bit of insight in how I'm working. Some wallpapers takes a lot more time and effort than others. This one I made here was pretty easy to make and didn't demand so much effort, yet it turned out good.^^

And since I love taking screen shots I have of course taken lots of screen shots of my desktop as well, haha. Even though I make wallpapers pretty often, I don't actually use them myself that much. Sometimes it might happen but.. it's not that often. It's strange isn't it?
(but I must say, I almost never use desktops that anyone else has done. They're very often not my style)
