Gee, its been a while since I poured my thoughts out onto the interwebs.

Oliver and I have a new rental - a nice, small brick townhouse with balconies and no pesky garden to tend :D The decision to move out of my friend's house was not the easiest for me to make at first. We had an extremely good set up with a fully furnished house for a very good ( Read more... )

The furniture thing is interesting.. like you said, its been nice living simply.. and I find too much furniture just adds more clutter (says me, who has enough stuff for 12 ppl)... but what you will find is that things will come to yous as you need them.

Routine is sooo hard sometimes! I realised about half an hour ago that I was feeling so miserable because I felt guilty for being up so late, which is definately bad on my routine (esp with a sleep disorder, haha)... but... it was my birthday last night and I was up late, so thats why I cant sleep now.. I guess what im saying is its great to build personal routines.. but we have to be careful how much pressure we put on ourselves...

And that also reminded me to restart doing my own meditation and relaxation exercises... its amazing how much easier they make things...

Life sounds good hun, and I felt inspired to give hugs at the end of this post... maybe coz its 2am.... or maybe just coz.

Happy Birthday for yesterday Kirby!

You are definitely right with routines in regards to putting too much pressure on yourself - I didn't really consider that. So I will keep that in mind. I became slightly dissatisfied with the way I was living (crazy routine, getting more bored with a job I've had for 4 years). I know that sounds petty when other's have a much tougher time then me, but I felt crappy. Then I started reading Zen Habits (http://zenhabits.net/), and that refreshed my mind about the personal goals and possibilities of steering your life where you want it to go.

And after a nice day off with getting rid of crappy items I don't need/cleaning and just relaxing, I finally feel recharged after so long.
