Twilight Sparkle: Hello, everyone! ^w^
Derpy: Hiiiii!! *Waves*
Also joining us today is the one and only Fluttershy, along with the lovely Pinkie Pie!
Fluttershy: *smiles bashfully* ...H-Hello...
Pinkie Pie: Hi everypony!!!! 83
NG55: We're all here to snark this epic fail together! So with no further ado, let's begin! Are we all ready?
Twilight Sparkle: I'm ready!
Derpy: Me too!! *Eats a muffin*
Pinkie Pie: >8D Let's do this!!!
Fluttershy: Okay ^^!...Are we all ready? I hope no one isn't not ready. I just hope this goes okay...
NG55: And here we go!
1) Intro ~ The Nightmare Before Christmas
As a lot of you already know, there is a town called Halloween Town, where they obviously celebrate as well as make the holiday Halloween.
Twilight Sparkle: Halloween? O.O What's that?
NG55: It's our equivalent to Nightmare Night.
Derpy: I love Nightmare Night!
Pinkie Pie: Ooooooh, Nightmare Night! Can I be a chicken again? 8D
Fluttershy: Sounds....scary...o.o
They have a ruler, also known as the Pumpkin King, named Jack Skellington.
Pinkie Pie: *snort laughs* I love that name! Jack as in a Jack-O-Lantern and a last name that sounds like skeleton!!
Fluttershy: A skeleton?! Where?!? O_O *cowers*
Twilight Sparkle: There's nothing there, Fluttershy. It's just in the story. Anyway, that's pretty clever....it almost makes me think of a name a pony would have around here.
Derpy: Definitely! I like this guy already! I want to meet him!
He was smart, brave, talented, strong, tall, and much more. But he had a tendency to get excited when he found new things that excited him.
Pinkie Pie: *giggles* (sarcastically) Oh, I thought he would be angry when he found new things that excited him! Thanks for the clarifying! X3
Twilight Sparkle: But isn't that normal? I get excited when I learn about something new, either in a book or if I learn something new about friendship!
Fluttershy: Exactly. Getting excited when seeing something new and exciting is normal...
Derpy: I get excited all the time! Meeting new ponies, finding a new book, delivering mail, eating muffins...muffins! I get excited when I discover a new kind of muffin to bake!
Pinkie Pie: Yup! I'm with you there, Derpy, baking IS exciting! Baking cupcakes and birhtday cakes and tea cakes and muffins too ^o^!
That is why I, Rachel Terrera, am here: to keep our beloved Pumpkin King in check.
Twilight Sparkle: *Reads through a guide of the movie* Well that doesn't seem right. I thought that was Sally's job. ...Where's Sally?
Fluttershy: Is this girl named Rachel even in the movie, Twilight?
Twilight Sparkle: *Flips through book* Rachel...Rachel....No, there's no one named Rachel in the movie. The only female protagonist is a rag doll named Sally. She's supposed to be Jack's love interest.
Derpy: Sally is a pretty name! Did you know it means Princess?
Fluttershy: Then...why is Rachel here? Is she replacing Sally? That would be terrible and very un-nice of her! D:
Pinkie Pie: Oooh, you're right Derpy ^o^! ...Sally should defintiely be here instead of Rachel! Rachel's name means 'one with purity'. But I'm not sure how that's going to play out...*is now suspicious of Rachel*
Twilight Sparkle: *Sighs* What a shame. Sally sounds to be such a lovely and very compelling character, who really seems to help drive the story along. ...Oh well. I guess we'll see how this will turn out.
I am a fighter, but I used to use my anger from my past to help me win fights. However, Jack taught that instead of using hatred and anger, I should use love and confidence to win my battles.
Fluttershy: Why is she fighting? D:
Derpy: It says that in the last story about some war, she was a fighter! I guess this has gotta be a sequel!
Pinkie Pie: Sounds like she needed help to tone it down a notch! I wonder if she had anger issues...hmmm..
Fluttershy: Thanks, Derpy ^^.
Twilight Sparkle: *Frowns* That's not how we were taught to fight against evil.... *Sighs* Oh, never mind.
That's how we first met. I was a better fighter than him, but he's still very wise and witty.
Derpy: (Sue) I'm better and stronger than my man! Isn't that awesome?!
Pinkie Pie: Oh yeah? Prove it, sister! Saying you're better than others but having nothing to show for it makes me very suspicious! *n*
Twilight Sparkle: I agree with Pinkie Pie. Why isn't there any evidence to back it up? I don't understand. That's the basic idea of a story, isn't it? To say something and then explain it. Showing and telling.
Fluttershy: I'm starting to think this girl is a bit like Trixie...she made things up about herself too :/...
Together, we beat every enemy we came across.
Twilight Sparkle: And that still doesn't tell us anything. Can you explain why? What about your teamwork makes it formidable? Is it anything like the Elements of Harmony?
Fluttershy: I'm afraid she has nothing to explain. With all of her lack of explanation we don't know what to think of her words and they become less believable...
Pinkie Pie: :3 Derpy, do you think I could have one of your extra-delicious looking muffins? I'm going to need one..
Derpy: Sure! *Gives her a muffin*
Pinkie Pie: Aww, thank you ^^!....Nom nom nom nom!....Phew, I needed that...I can already tell this story is going to take a lot out of me.
We were unstoppable, and we fell in love.
Twilight Sparkle: What?! *Reads through guidebook again* But...but...what about Sally? I thought they got together at the end of the movie! D:
Fluttershy: The lack of explanation everywhere is making me like this story less and less...there is nothing to grasp from this, and from that it makes it less enjoyable. The words she's putting in this havn't meant anything yet because of everything this is so far lacking...*disappointed sigh*
Pinkie Pie: Why is Rachel leaving out Sally? That's not very nice of her at all...*pouts*
Twilight Sparkle: *Reads the other story* ....Girls...I think you need to take a look at the beginning of the prequel story to this.
Derpy: Lemme see!!! *Clamours to see* 8D .....D: But...but....Why?! That doesn't!! *Sobs* Poor Sally!!!
Fluttershy: D8!!! Why is she doing this?!? D8< How unfair of her!
Pinkie Pie: 8O Oooh Oooh Oooh! I wanna see!!! ......>: I try to make everyone my friend...but not her...no, she is EVIL! *growls*
So that's the introduction to our story. Wait until you see what we have in store for you! Let the challenge begin!
Twilight Sparkle: I have a feeling it's going to be completely contrived and mischaracterized. I really am losing faith in this story, and this character.
Fluttershy: My faith in this is already lost...
Pinkie Pie: Hmph, I already know I won't enjoy this...good thing I had a muffin ^^!! Otherwise if I knew where to find this Rachel person...>8C
Derpy: I don't think this story! Rachel is a bad pony! :< *Sighs* I can do this...I've had to fly to Canterlot in a blizzard just to deliver an invitation...I can endure this!
